ICE CREAM EVERYWHERE: A Picture Book Review and Giveaway by Lori Keating, Picture Book Passionaire

Before today’s review, I want to introduce you to a fellow kidlit writer, friend, and Monarch author, Lori Keating. Recently Lori asked if she could help me review picture books. Since I have quite a few in my TBR pile, I quickly said, “Yes!” I think you’ll find her reviews to be fun, comprehensive, and also show her love for this genre. By the way, she’s not only a published picture book author, but her debut YA novel, Butterfly Ink, recently released!

Look for more of Lori’s reviews in upcoming weeks. Now, take it away, Lori!

    1. It’s great to have books with ideas common to all, such as neighborhoods, friends, food, as well as some specifics that help some readers see their own culture represented and others are exposed to something outside of their experiences.
